The cyber world enables people to be active participants in the world of communication rather than passive recipients of knowledge. The cyber world provides an open forum for active and interactive participation of all individuals making up a learner’s living and learning environment.

    I agree that the cyber world encourages broader communicaiton. What I haven't figured out is how important is face to face communication and will we rely less and less on that? I now get way more emails than in the past, and sometimes I am taken aback at the tone. I know it's because I can't read the body language to go with the words. Just a thought...
